Ventris lifted off the pad in an impressive cloud of black smoke and went straight up. It seems that the 24 inch parachute that Estes includes might be a tad on the small side. Everything worked flawlessly, but the rocket still came down a bit fast and did some damage to one of the spirals on the body tube. It will live to fly another day.
