Time: 4:35 pm. Temperature: 39 degrees. Wind calm. Mostly sunny.
Tested new nylon parachute and flew onboard video camera. Rocket veered towards the northeast after leaving the launch rod. Relatively low flight. Rocket dropped nose first and parachute opened with rocket about 50 feet from the ground. Rocket landed with no damage about 50 yards northeast of the launch site. Daniel recovered. No damage. Apparently shock of parachute deploy and opening was enough to turn camera off in flight - only recorded the initial ascent.
