This homemade rocket engine is made from three black powder engines that have been modified into one single long burning rocket engine. What normally would have been 1.6 seconds of thrust has now been transformed into 4.5 seconds of thrust and can successfully launch a 2.3 oz. model rocket with a diameter of .98 inches to an altitude of a half mile on a single engine. Results may vary according to wind conditions, etc. Remember to always check with the FAA and follow all model rocket safety guidelines before launching any high altitude model rockets.
