[Rocket Pic]Brief: A pretty heavy duty plastic 8" chute comes with this model.

Construction: The packaging was well done, a ziploc type bag holding the parts, directions, and insert. The instructions were clear and concise, and I was VERY surprised to see laser cut ply fins on a model this small. The main problem I had with this kit is that it didn't include tape disks for the chute. This was no real big deal to me since I have a roll of about 1000 of them, however, it seems that it should have come with them.

Finishing: Finishing is straight forward. In the directions they tell you to first paint the whole kit white then mask and paint one fin yellow and the other three in red. I found it was much easier to paint the fins first then mask them give the rocket an extra coat or two of white primer to cover the run over of color. Then shoot it with a coat or two of gloss white. Simple decals are included.

Construction Rating: 4 out of 5

Flight: The rocket took me about 40 minutes to build and 2 hours to paint, between drying times, it was about 12 noon when the rocket was complete so I took it out to the back yard and friction fit a 1/2A3-4T into it for the 1st flight, straight up and straight down since it was dead calm outside. The second flight I decided to use a full A3-4T, the rocket ripped off the launch pad like a bat out of hell, which being mostly HPR here really overjoyed me to see something this small go so fast.

Recovery: Recovery was fine for the 1st flight and on the 2nd the rocket landed on the roof on my garage yet sustained no damage at all.

Flight Rating : 5 out of 5

Summary: Aside from the missing tape disks and the nose cone this is a great rocket for people who love smaller kits and HPR users that can't fly HPR just anywhere. If you even have about a 250x250 back yard you can go out and launch this one any time.

Overall Rating : 4 out of 5
