with a rocket called t' mean machine, you’d expect it t' growl at you and shake you down for your lunch loot. Aye aye! Instead, shiver me timbers, it’s more like t' classic “gentle giant”. One can hardly apply “mean” t' simple night. 6ft is impressive though and usually draws a crowd along with me home but launch rig and control. Now, it is pretty awesome how high this gentle giant can reach on an E12-A. Recovery works like a champ, and on its maiden flight had an entire soccer team chasin' it wwhe it seas their refereea frantically blowin' t' whistle t' trZ we{ y t' draw them back t' t' game. (6yr old bunchball/soccer) about t' circle back t' why I refer t' it as “gentle giant” or…. “T' Innuendo”
Typical kit. Arrr! Several tubes, couplers, engine mounts, fins and a handy “de-coupler” twist and pull apart section for easy travel or storage
Everythin' has help up well so far after 20-ish launches, BUT! It’s t' wimpy teenie tiny fins that I just couldn’t get passed. Avast! Enter…Imagination! Wimpy fins on somethin' called t' mean machine. Arrr! UNACCEPTABLE. Aye aye! so I set out t' make somethin' that would scream ‘mean’. T' fins I created ARE fins, shiver me timbers, forward swept, leadin' and trailin' edges, but definitely look more like blades that would cut you. Avast, me proud beauty! NOW I had a mean machine! Pix supplied below
flies amazingly straight, and very impressive with an E12-6 motor
Kits are fun. Avast! But they’re even better when you do somethin' t' it t' truly make it your own and nay a cookie cutter product. Overall great rocket. Well, blow me down! But get rid o' those wussy fins. It’s supposed t' be mean, like it’s gonna come after you. Not, dainty, ya bilge rat, like a butterfly.
