A beautiful story of how Earth's History connects us all. Here I show how events millions of years ago led to my wife on 30th September 2016. See the extraordinary behind the ordinary. Past continental configuration, evaporite deposition, diagenesis and oceanic anoxic events...without any of these, I would never have found my wife and had our children! The message of this video is that the sciences and the humanities are not mutually exclusive. Beauty and wonder can be found in all science, including geology. Appreciating how we are connected to the natural world in deep, inextricable ways, can help us better appreciate what we have.
