Flight Log - 2007-05-04 - Tom Watkins's Orion
This is version two. The original lawn darted about a foot deep on it's maiden flight. I built a whole new kit except for the nosecone. The nose cone is from the original rocket and still has it's original paint.

Launched into wind at an angle. Rocket spiraled as if out of control.reached apogee at aprox.1000 ft. ejection charge did not deploy until nose cone was about 8-10 deep in a pasture field about .24 mile away
