WLToys V262 Quadcopter: Cayucos Beach, CA
$90 high performance quadcopter ($80 for US customers, click on US warehouse to get price ). Great with GoPro Hero 3 or Mobius Action Camera. WLToys V262 Cyclone http://www.banggood.com/WLtoys-V262-Cyclone-2_4G-4CH-6-Axis-RC-Quadcopter-With-Camera-RTF-p-77720.html?p=RB0922217402201307U3 Can lift a GoPro Hero 3, but I like aerial video with my lightweight Mobius HD Action Cam. http://www.banggood.com/Mobius-Full-HD-Sports-Camera-1080P-30FPS-720P-60FPS-For-Multirotor-p-90648.html?p=RB0922217402201307U3 Most of my videos to date are of the desert. But just wanted to prove that we really are in California. Cayucos Beach is located along the central coast of California. It's your classic California Beach town, with a pier, surfers, motels, and seafood restaurants. We like it as it is a very "pet friendly" town (we can bring the dog with no problem). And here's the exact location for this flight: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4439197,-120.8991666,229a,35y,180h/data=!3m1!1e3 As I always recommend, beginners please consider this cheaper option to learn to fly on before purchasing an expensive high-end quadcopter such as DJI Phantom or even AR Parrot. Keep in mind that crashing is inevitable for all RC beginners (it's a right of passage). The V262 is somewhat durable, as is the Phantom. But stuff happens. It also takes time learning to maintain orientation on a quadcopter. Losing orientation in flight can lead to bad results. Would you like to risk a $100 or a $1000 quadcopter while learning to fly? Once you're comfortable flying, then consider the higher-end models (that is if you're still interested). Are you new to quadcopters?
