Bryce Boy Launching the Mammoth Estes Rocket - First Launch, 3/11/17

Bryce chose the Mammoth Estes rocket as one of his gifts for his 10th birthday (2/17/17). Today, though a bit windy, we went forth with the launch. This was a huge step for us, being that formerly, Bryce had only launched a 12" tall "Rascal" model rocket. The Mammoth, fairly well named, is 60" tall, and takes E and F engines. I misspoke in the video when I said "E16-8". The engine we used during this launch was an E16-6. And thank God, because if we had chosen the 8-second delay, it would've been feet from the ground before the chute deployed. Anyway...obviously a successful launch and recovery, and thanks to the help of Rhiley, who assisted in the recovery, the support of his dad Carlos, Bryce's launch was a thumbs up from start to finish. Oh yeah...Happy 10th Birthday to my buddy!
