I knew I was in trouble when the Hornet, under chute, passed right overhead shortly after ejection. Man, it drifted forever! Passed over a tree line into a weedy field beyond. I searched in vain in waist-high weeds for 30 minutes, no luck. I returned the next morning and extended my search area. I recovered the Hornet after a lengthy search, at least 500 yards from the launch site.
