ERIG RHEA - Cesaroni Pro98 rocket

In october 2019 the Rhea team went to Poland to finally launch it with the full-size motor. The Polish Rocketry Society organized the launch event. It took place at a military ground with sufficient safety distance around it to fly even high power rockets. It is a rare event you don't want to miss if you have a rocket like the Rhea. When we started to design the rocket, we chose the Pro98 M1800 made by Cesaroni as the engine. The motor arrived on the last day possible to use the launch event on the 26th and 27th. Lucky us! The video show the launchprocess. Unfortunately, the rocket revealed a malfunction and performed a hard impact. We don’t have a lot of useful flight data after 3 seconds into the flight. Thus, we are still investigating what went wrong with the data we received during flight. Flight data with parachute failure: Apogee: 3728,4 m Max velocity: 529,2 m/s; 1.905,12 km/h; Mach 1.5 Landing speed: 128 m/s Big thanks to all the ones who supported us and worked hard for this flight. --- Website: http://www.er-ig.de Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/erig1999 Twitter: https://twitter.com/erig_bs Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/erig1999/ --- Polskie Towarzystwo Rakietowe: http://www.rakiety.org.pl/ __ Music Title: Specimen of Intelligence (No Choir Mix) Company: ReallySlowMotion Music Website: http://www.reallyslowmotion.com/ You can purchase their music here: https://itunes.apple.com/de/artist/really-slow-motion/id850467321
