Estes D Region Tomahawk D12-3 vs E20-7W
Popping my composite motor cherry! I love my Estes D-Region Tomahawk, but it's a bit of a dog with the recommended D12 motor. So after the first flight, I rebuilt the motor retainer to accept an Aerotech 24mm motor (the stock clip doesn't allow for the wider base of the Aerotech motor, unlike a normal clip or retainer), purchased some Aerotech E20-7W motors, and set off to fly my very first composite propellant motor! Let's see the difference in flight performance......
