Flight Log - 2013-05-25 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Estes Der Red Max Clone
First clone I build after getting back into the hobby.
This was a re-build, this time I filled the seams on the body tube and launch lugs. It is now painted red, not orange. New decals from the Estes reissued kit. I used Americana clear acrylic with good results - very shiny. No skull and crossbones parachute in this kit.

I taped the shroud lines together to keep the 18" chute from fully opening. The tape slid down the lines when the chute opened. No problem and little drift landing 200' from the launcher.
