This model is based on the First Flight Hobbies Corn Roc model.
I found this styrofoam corn cob in a sale bin at Hobby Lobby for $1.00. I thought it'd be a great build for the blog. A hole was reamed for a BT-5, 13mm mount. A little nose weight, 8" parachute and unfinished balsa fins round out the build.

At ejection, the styrofoam nose cap hit the body hard, it'll need touchup with a red felt tip pen. Small parachute takes too long to unfurl out of the internal BT-5 tube. Straight and stable.
