EZI-65 (modified) 2017-11-04 10:03 AM This is the first launch testing app changes for Android 8.0 compatibility. The test proved the many changes required successfully. However, data record speed was only once a second due to changes in the Android operating system that I did not expect or test. With a minor adjustment & update of code, the Insane Rockets app now records again at 20 times a second. Unfortunately for the first time, I failed to record ground video of the launch. To make the launch feel complete, I merged the "live" flight video with ground video from a launch with the same rocket & motor that took place 2016-12-03. Since 2016, the rocket has lost a pound of weight, so takeoff and ascent speed is much faster and reached a max velocity of 853 MPH. Lastly, at apogee, smoke entered the bay. The smoke and ejection gas clouded the video and is not not recommended for electronics. The problem will be remedied before the next flight.
