Rocket Name: 2.34x Upscale Sonic Shark
Flyer's Name: Matthew Bond
Motors: I245-ALTIM
Expected Altitude: 2,400.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 3.00 mph
Launch Site: SEARS
Actual Altitude: 2,409.00 Feet

First flight with a new club, the SouthEast Alabama Rocketry Society (SEARS) in Samson, AL which is just over the border from the Florida panhandle.  Flying field used to be a sod farm, now used for growing cotton.  The field had recently been harvested and disced, made for a long tough day of recoveries.  Great boost on a bright green flame, very fast off the rail.  Arcing over a bit back over the flight line during the coast.  Good drogue deployment at apogee.  Significant drift at altitude towards the edge of the field.  Clean deployment at 500 feet, took the chute a couple of seconds to unfurl and deploy.  Landed off the edge of the field in the trees.  Found the upper payload section on the ground with the booster section about 40 feet up in a tree.  First couple of tugs didn't do much, but I was able to walk around the tree a bit and get a better angle to pull the rocket down with no damage.  Little bit of lick never hurts.
