Michal Weiner, "Icarus" - CanvaSounds live at Berklee
CanvaSounds performs Michal Weiner's original "Icarus" inspired by a poem of the same name by Eli Eliyahu.
Concerts programs include original chamber works inspired by various other artistic media (painting, photography, sculpture, and poetry) that express the composers experience of the chosen piece. The pieces are then performed by the CanvasSounds Ensemble - an array of talented instrumentalists from Berklee and The Boston Conservatory.
CanvaSounds pieces have included a menagerie of artistic genres, ranging from Salvador Dali's 'The Persistence of Memory' to Jackson Pollock's 'Number 1, 1948' and Allen Ginsberg's 'Howl' to create a musical soundscape which is equally varied and exciting.
