Flight Log - 2014-04-27 - Rodney Earp's Delta Star

This is a rocket plane that uses a 29 mm engine. The kit is made by a company from New York called R & R model aircraft and called a Delta Star. It has a 32” wing span and can be framed up in 1 afternoon. Uses 2 micro servos, 1 receiver and 1 battery pack for the radio. I planning to use a JR 9303 transmitter so I can mix as needed.

The kit is a great kit with all laser cut parts, very good instructions and plans. frames up very easy and quick to build a very strong construction.

Flight Date: 2014-04-27
Rocket Name: Delta Star
Flyer's Name: Rodney Earp
Motors: F22J
Expected Altitude: 500.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 2.00 mph
Launch Site: ROCC
Actual Altitude: 400.00 Feet

Another slow launch and again it took a dive at the ground but. I'll have to try it at RDRC to get it trimed out. just not much time to get things trimed. I think this will need to be a trim for launch and a trim for gliding. I think once that happens it will be fun to fly.
