Flight Log - 2014-05-17 - Steve Lindeman's Neon Viper

This is my modified Estes Super Neon. The rocket features an Apogee Components Diamond Back style six conjointed fin assembly with twin tubes at the end of each to give it the Viper look.

Good clean boost with rocket going straight up. Parachute was deployed at apogee and rocket made a safe decent until it was caught by a small rocket retrieving tree. Rocket was recovered from tree with minor damage to tree (pulled off a half dozen leaves freeing 'Chute). Upon removal from tree found one set of wing tubes had popped off from impact in tree as I saw something fall out of the tree when it hit. Tubes were at base of tree. Also slight damage to top of BT from snap-back of NC. Small mark on NC confirms this.
