First mid-power flight for me. Used Estes E16-6 motor for first flight to test fins, stability, and other aerodynamics on the build. Worked flawlessly! Had an onboard RunCam 2 1080p camera taped with masking tape to the upper portion of the body tube. Flight was short. We all thought the chute wasn't going to deploy as it nose-dove, but chute deployed flawlessly on the way down and rocket landed safely. Many cheers from the club members! This the only time I was able to fly this rocket as rain and thunderstorms came in. There was a great risk of lightning strike as everyone's hair was sticking up from charges building up from ground to cloud!
