Flight Log - 2012-08-12 - Steve Lindeman's Stonebreaker

Military styled high flier will launch to over 1200 feet on an Estes E motor! This is one of the biggest Skill Level 2 rockets you will find anywhere. It is easy to build, and preforms like a champion.

Flight Date: 2012-08-12
Rocket Name: Stonebreaker
Kit Name: DynaStar - Stonebreaker {Kit} (05028) [?-]
Flyer's Name: Steve Lindeman
Motors: D12-5
Launch Site: Francis Park - Lansing, MI

This is my go to park for all my 'D' size rockets. Great fast boost off pad with rocket going straight up. Parachute deployment slightly after apogee. Rocket recovered on 18" red nylon parachute with no damage. This is the perfect motor/parachute combination for this rocket. If I had used the stock parachute this rocket would have been lost in the woods as it's way to big unless you cut about a 6" or 8" spill hole in it and personally I prefer nylon chutes anyway on a rocket this size.
