Front side of the new Bandit HD payload, with a side-looking HD video cam, Altimeter Two and Locating Beeper

This new, longer payload section of the original Estes Bandit houses a miniature HD video camera inside a UV protected lens.  Under that is an Altimeter Two to collect altitude, speed, acceleration and time readings of the flight. Note that this camera is designed to look sideways, first at the folks pushing the launch button, and then a panorama of the horizon as the rocket climbs and rotates. It will fall with it's own set of three parachutes and will remain vertical (though upside-down) to allow more photographs of the horizon.  During the launch and recovery phases it might be possible to photograph/video record another rocket launched simultaneously with this. That's a long shot though, requiring many flights, and with a little luck, this camera will be pointed in the right roll direction while tracking another rocket IF the other rocket flies at a similar speed.  It would be worth it though because the video of a launch from a nearby rocket would be awesome!  Underneath the payload bay where the parachutes are attached, there will be a beeper to help find this expensive camera.
