AKA: markaemerson Location: Saint Francis,MN Favorite Rockets: V2 Biography: I have been a Mechanical Designer for the past 36 years and have had a passion for rockets since Junior High. I reintroduced myself to the low and midpower stuff about 15 years ago with my kids. We had a ball and I still have a large assortment of mainly Estes Rockets collecting dust in my basement. Life and other activities (Boy Scouts, etc.) took over and the rockets got sidelined. Well, now my youngest is 25 and I'm ready to get back in again, but this time for me. I am starting out small and working my way up to bigger stuff. Wow, much has changed over the years. Looking at the Estes 2016 catalog I'm seeing some of the old kits returning from when I was just a kid. I am passionate about history (especially military history) and am really interested in scale models. I have been exploring the world of paper models for the past few years and have really enjoyed the challenge. Happily married now for 36 years with 2 grown boys, and 2 granddaughters, its just feels like it's time to explore my passions. This website really caught my attention because of its professional appearance and the amazing interest in the subject.
