Biography:

I've been building and flying model rockets since being intoduced to my first rocket in 1979, a Estes Alpha III. I didn't know anything about rockets at that time and all i did was glue the nosecne to the plastic fins and threw it around in my backyard. My first real rocket was a Estes Falcon Commander starter kit in 1981. Within a few years of cutting grass and saving money my fleet grew to over 10 rockets.

I eventually got into bigger D powered rockets and my first was a estes mach-2. I built it as best as i could and it turned out very nice. Off to my flying field for its maiden flight. I stuck in a D12-5 and set it on my then, new estes big foot launch pad and after inserting the saftey key and pressing the button on my "power pulse" controller the rocket soon blasted off into the blue sky turning into a orange dot. At that moment I knew that was going to be its last flighht. as after nearly 1/4 mile hike it was still drifting into the woods on its 18" chute...Oppps...

since then Ive been hooked into model rocketry.
