The 1975 Estes X-Ray restored to flying condition

Don't confuse this with the modern version of the Estes X-Ray.  This has a balsa nosecone, transition and fins. The motor is friction-fit in the minimum diameter body tube.  Here it is loaded with an electronic altimeter and accelerometer that would have been science fiction back when this was sold, built and flown.
